TARTAN DAY EVENTS

National Tartan Day celebrates the influence of Scotland and its people on Canada and the United States. The day is celebrated on April 6, the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320. Here are some of the events commemorating this day in North America.

CANADA
April 3, 2025
The Fitzgeralds Tartan Day Celebration. The Fitzgeralds are bringing their brilliant fiddle and step dancing show to Rivoli. Prepare to be amazed by their fast feet, faster hands and incredible stage presence. This show is hosted by the St. Andrew’s Society of Toronto but is open to the public. Tickets are $35 for Society members, $40 for non-members and $50 at the door (while supplies last). 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm. The Rivoli, 332 Queen Street West, Toronto. National Capital Tartan Day British Embassy Event. Luncheon featuring a single prominent speaker, Charles Hay, 16th Earl of Kinnoull, Scotland. Lord Kinnoull will speak on his twin roles as Convenor of the Cross-Bench Peers in the House of Lords and Commander of the Atholl Highlanders–the only private army in modern-day Scotland. The annual Tartan Day Award will continue to be presented this year at the DC event. This is an invitation-only event. Sponsored by the National Capital Tartan Day Committee.
