Chief signed documents allowing the festival use of the Fergusson tartans
Fergusson Chief Sir Adam Fergusson of Kilkerran, 10th Baronet, and Lady Jenny attended the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highlands Games in Fergus, Ontario, Canada, in August 2023. In a formal ceremony, the Chief granted permission to Festival President Matt Bennett to use the Clan Fergusson tartans as their own. Special guests at the festival included Richard Rankin, who played Roger MacKenzie in the the Outlander video series. On August 12, 2023, the Clan Fergusson Society of North America held its 51st Annual General Meeting and Meeting, the first of which was attended by the Chief of the Name Fergusson. The event was held at Breadalbane Inn, which was built for George Douglas Fergusson, son of Hon Adam Fergusson. Hon Adam Fergusson was one of two gentlemen who founded the town Fergus 190 years ago.
