Son Robert Ronald Steuart Menzies of Menzies succeeds as chief.
Captain David Ronald Steuart Menzies died peacefully on April 27, 2023, at the age of 88. He married first Diana Winifred, with whom he had three sons. He married secondly Mignon Margare, with whom he had another son and a daughter. He is survived by his children Robert, Simon, Andrew, Lachlan and Miranda. His eldest son Robert Ronald Steuart Menzies of Menzies, born in 1965, succeeds as chief.
