Sir James Grant of Grant, the sixth Lord Strathspey, Baronet of Nova Scotia, 33rd Chief of Grant, passd away on May 26, 2023, at his home. Lord Strathspey was born on September 9, 1943, to Patrick Grant, who later became the 32nd Chief of Grant and mother Alice Bowe Grant. He was raised in Edinburgh and went to school in the United States. In 1966 James married Linda Piggot. They moved to his farm at Flichity near Inverness, which proved to be unsustainable. They subsequently moved to Perth, where James worked for the Scottish Crop Research Institute. His brother Michael succeeds him.
