Founded in 1845, Chicago Scots is Chicago’s first and longest-running not-for-profit organization. Chicago Scots promotes Scottish culture throughout Chicagoland by supporting its principal charity, Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care; organizing and hosting Scottish cultural events; providing scholarships to help bright, talented students; fostering cultural initiatives like the Scottish History and Genealogy Clubs, and the world’s only Scottish American Museum and Scottish American Hall of Fame; developing and enhancing trans-Atlantic friendship and exchange by organizing conferences and initiatives.
